Terms of Use
Effective
Version 1.0 — 6 October 2026
1. About these Terms
1.1
These Terms of Use (Terms) govern your use of ReQuLe, including the website at requle.com and any related apps and services (the Service).
1.2
The Service is operated by Bharat Shori trading as ReQuLe, ABN 24 406 235 366, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia (we, us, our).
1.3
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1.4
We have tried to write these Terms in plain English. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that cannot be excluded.
1.5
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any other documents expressly incorporated into these Terms, form the agreement between you and us concerning your use of the Service.
2. Eligibility and your account
2.1
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. The Service is designed for working professionals and is not intended for children.
2.2
You can sign up using an email link (magic link) or Google sign-in. You must provide accurate information, including your first and last name, and keep your email address current.
2.3
Your account is personal to you. You must not share it, sell it or allow another person to use it. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping access to your email and Google account secure.
2.4
Tell us promptly at support@requle.com if you believe someone has accessed your account without your permission.
2.5
Each person may have one free trial. Creating additional accounts to obtain additional trial time or to avoid plan limits is a breach of these Terms.
3. The Service and AI-generated content
3.1
ReQuLe provides study material and learning tools, including topic cards, category reference cards, your own notes and multiple-choice quizzes across a fixed list of skills. Content is organised as Skill, Category, Topic and quiz questions.
3.2
Some Service content is generated using artificial intelligence. Topics, explanations and questions may be generated or prepared when content is first requested and may subsequently be made available to other users.
3.3
AI-generated content is labelled as such where appropriate. We use automated checks and, for some content, human review. However, AI-generated content can still be incorrect, incomplete, outdated, ambiguous or unsuitable for your particular circumstances.
3.4
The Service is a study and learning aid only. It is not professional, legal, financial, medical, safety or career advice. You should check important information against official or authoritative sources before relying on it, particularly when using it in a professional or workplace context.
3.5
We do not guarantee any particular outcome from using the Service. We do not promise that using ReQuLe will help you pass an examination or certification, obtain employment or promotion, or reach any particular level of knowledge or skill.
Quiz scores reflect your answers to our questions only. They are not a certification, formal assessment or prediction of examination results.
3.6
ReQuLe is independent. Unless we expressly state otherwise, we are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any certification body, examination provider, technology vendor or employer.
Names of technologies, products, certifications and organisations are used only to describe subject matter and remain the property of their respective owners.
Our questions are original ReQuLe content and are not real examination questions.
3.7
Every topic has a "Report an error" function. We may review reports and may correct, regenerate, restrict or remove content. We may also automatically restrict content where we receive multiple reports.
3.8
Some content may take a short time to prepare the first time it is requested. We may add, improve, update or remove skills, categories, topics, questions and other Service content from time to time.
3.9
The Service does not provide a user-facing general-purpose AI chatbot. AI is used by us as part of the process of generating and maintaining some Service content.
4. Free trial and Premium
4.1
The current features, limits and price of the free trial and Premium are shown on our Plans page and in the Service.
The Plans page describes the current features, limits and pricing applicable to each plan. If there is an inconsistency between the Plans page and these Terms, these Terms apply unless the Plans page expressly states otherwise.
4.2 Free trial
New accounts receive a 14-day free trial. You do not need to provide payment details to start the trial.
The trial does not automatically become a paid subscription. You must choose to subscribe to Premium.
4.3 End of trial
When your trial ends without a Premium subscription, you can no longer read topics or take quizzes. Your notes remain visible but become read-only.
We retain your library, notes and progress for 12 months after your trial access ends, subject to our Privacy Policy and any applicable legal requirements. If you subscribe during that period, you may be able to continue using your saved information.
4.4
We may extend a trial at our discretion. Each person may have one free trial.
4.5 Current limits
| Limit | Free trial | Premium |
|---|---|---|
| Length | 14 days | Monthly, renews until cancelled |
| Active skills | 5 | 10 |
| New topics per day | 10 | 25 |
| New-topic previews per day | 10 | 25 |
| Quizzes per day | 10 | 20 |
| Library size (topics) | 250 | 500 |
4.6
Daily limits reset at 12:00 am according to your account timezone.
You are responsible for keeping your timezone information accurate where the Service allows you to set it.
4.7
We may change plan features or limits from time to time, particularly where we are adding features, content or functionality.
If we materially reduce a feature or limit that you have already paid for during your current paid subscription period, we will give you at least 30 days' notice and, where required by law, provide you with an appropriate remedy.
5. Billing, renewal, cancellation and refunds
5.1
Premium costs AUD $9 per month. It is billed monthly in advance and renews automatically each month until cancelled.
Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST if and to the extent GST is applicable to the supply.
Before you subscribe, we will show you the price, billing period, automatic renewal arrangements and how to cancel.
5.2 Subscribing during your trial
You can subscribe to Premium at any time during your trial.
When you subscribe and provide a valid payment method, your Premium access and Premium limits begin immediately. Your first payment is charged on the scheduled end date of your trial.
If you cancel before the trial ends, you will not be charged.
5.3
Payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not store your full payment-card details.
By subscribing, you authorise us and our payment provider to charge your selected payment method for the applicable subscription charges.
5.4 Cancellation
You can cancel Premium at any time online through Settings > Subscription without needing to contact us.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid subscription period. You keep Premium access until that date.
We will send you confirmation of your cancellation.
5.5 Trial reminder
We will email you at least 5 days before your trial ends to remind you that the trial is ending.
If you have subscribed during the trial, the reminder will also state the date and amount of your first charge.
5.6 Refunds
Except where the law requires otherwise, we do not provide refunds for unused portions of a paid subscription period following cancellation.
This does not limit any rights or remedies you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
If you believe you have been charged in error or that the Service has failed in a way that gives you a right to a remedy, contact us at support@requle.com.
5.7 Price changes
We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before a price increase applies to your existing Premium subscription.
If you do not want to pay the new price, you can cancel before the new price takes effect.
5.8 Failed payments
If a payment fails, we will notify you and may ask our payment provider to retry the payment.
If payment remains unsuccessful after 14 days, your Premium access will end.
5.9
When Premium ends because you cancel or because of a failed payment, the same rules apply as at the end of a trial:
- you can no longer read topics or take quizzes;
- your notes become read-only; and
- your library, notes and progress are retained for 12 months, subject to our Privacy Policy and applicable legal requirements.
6. Your notes and other content you submit
6.1
You retain ownership of the notes and other content you add to the Service (Your Content).
You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce and display Your Content only as reasonably necessary to provide, maintain and secure the Service for you.
Your private notes are not made available to other users.
6.2
Error reports, feedback and suggestions you send to us may be used to correct, improve and develop the Service and its shared content, without payment to you.
Please do not include unnecessary personal, confidential or commercially sensitive information in error reports or feedback.
6.3 Notes after access ends
You can add and edit notes while you have access to the applicable features during your free trial or Premium subscription.
When that access ends, your notes remain visible but become read-only.
Until we provide an in-app export feature, you can request a copy of your notes by emailing support@requle.com. We will provide the requested copy within 30 days, subject to reasonable verification of your identity and any applicable legal requirements.
6.4
You are responsible for Your Content. Your Content must not:
- break the law;
- infringe another person's rights;
- contain another person's personal information without appropriate permission or authority; or
- contain malicious software or other material that could compromise the Service.
6.5
ReQuLe content, including topic cards, category reference cards, explanations, quiz questions and other study material provided by us, is not Your Content and remains subject to section 8.
7. Acceptable use
You must not:
- copy, scrape, crawl, bulk-download or systematically extract topics, cards, questions or other Service content;
- use bots, scripts, browser automation, AI agents, crawlers or other automated means to access, interact with or extract content from the Service, except where we expressly permit it;
- resell, republish, distribute or commercially exploit our content;
- use our content to build a competing product or service or to train an AI model;
- share your login or operate shared or team access through a personal account;
- create multiple accounts to obtain additional trial periods or avoid plan or security limits;
- attempt to circumvent plan limits, daily limits, payment controls or security measures;
- upload malware or other malicious material;
- overload, disrupt or interfere with the Service;
- probe, scan, test or attempt to compromise the security of the Service without our written permission;
- use the Service to cheat in a live examination or assessment, or in breach of an examination provider's rules;
- harass another person through the Service; or
- use the Service for an unlawful purpose.
We may use rate limits, automated checks and other reasonable technical measures to enforce these rules and protect the Service.
8. Intellectual property
8.1
The Service and its underlying software, design, branding, ReQuLe name and logo, selection and arrangement of content, and other materials provided by us are owned by us or our licensors.
8.2 ReQuLe Content
ReQuLe Content includes topic cards, category reference cards, explanations, quiz questions, learning material and other content created, generated, commissioned, edited, curated or published by us.
To the extent that we own or control intellectual property rights in ReQuLe Content, those rights remain with us or our licensors.
8.3
While your account has access to the relevant Service, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use ReQuLe Content for your own learning and reasonable on-the-job reference.
You may copy short extracts for your personal notes.
You must not reproduce, distribute, publish, sell, resell, systematically extract or commercially exploit ReQuLe Content without our written permission.
8.4 AI-generated content
Some ReQuLe Content is generated using artificial intelligence.
Where AI-generated content is incorporated into the Service, we may combine it with human review, editing, selection, curation and other material.
To the extent permitted by law, we retain the rights we have in the resulting ReQuLe Content.
8.5
If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright or another legal right, contact support@requle.com with sufficient details for us to investigate.
9. Privacy, third parties, availability and changes
9.1 Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and disclose it, how long we retain it, how you can access or correct it, and how you can request deletion where applicable.
The Privacy Policy forms part of these Terms.
9.2 Third-party services
We rely on third-party providers and technologies to operate ReQuLe. These may include hosting, database, authentication, AI/content-generation, email, payment, analytics, monitoring, domain and website infrastructure providers.
Our current technology and service providers include, where applicable:
- Vercel;
- Neon;
- Groq;
- Google, including Google Sign-In;
- Resend;
- Stripe;
- Google Analytics;
- Sentry; and
- Squarespace for website/domain-related services.
The exact information shared with each provider is described in our Privacy Policy.
Some providers may process information outside Australia, including in the United States.
9.3
The Service uses Better Auth as part of our application authentication technology. Better Auth is software used within our application and is not itself a separate user account provider or third-party service to which we necessarily disclose your personal information.
9.4
Third-party services may have their own terms, privacy policies and conditions. Your use of third-party authentication or other third-party functionality may also be subject to those providers' terms.
9.5 Availability
We aim to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not promise that it will always be uninterrupted, available or error-free.
We may temporarily suspend or restrict access for maintenance, security, upgrades, technical problems or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
9.6 Changes to the Service
We may add, improve, modify or remove features, skills, topics, questions, content and other aspects of the Service.
We will not use this right to avoid our obligations under these Terms or applicable law.
If we discontinue the Service entirely, we will give Premium subscribers at least 30 days' notice, where reasonably practicable, and refund any unused prepaid subscription period, subject to applicable law.
9.7 Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
For changes that materially affect your rights or obligations, we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email or through the Service.
If you do not agree with a material change, you may cancel your Premium subscription before the change takes effect.
Continuing to use the Service after the updated Terms take effect means you accept the updated Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
10. Your consumer rights and our liability
10.1 Australian Consumer Law
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled:
• to cancel your service contract with us; and
• to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value.
You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
If the failure does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have problems with the service rectified in a reasonable time and, if this is not done, to cancel your service contract and obtain a refund for the unused portion of the contract.
10.2
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.
10.3 Limits on our liability
To the extent permitted by law, and subject to sections 10.1 and 10.2:
- we are not responsible for loss resulting from your reliance on AI-generated or other study content without independently checking important information;
- we are not responsible for examination results, employment outcomes, promotion outcomes or other personal or professional outcomes that you may experience from using the Service;
- we are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits or loss of opportunity, to the extent such liability can lawfully be excluded;
- where the law permits us to limit our liability for failure to meet a consumer guarantee, our liability is limited to supplying the relevant service again or paying the cost of having the service supplied again; and
- subject to applicable law, our total liability to you for all claims arising from or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or AUD $100, whichever is greater.
10.4
Nothing in this section limits liability to the extent such limitation is prohibited by law.
10.5 Your responsibility
You are responsible for loss we suffer to the extent caused by your deliberate or unlawful breach of these Terms, including deliberate scraping, unauthorised extraction, resale or misuse of ReQuLe Content.
11. Ending your account, disputes and contact
11.1 Closing your account
You can close your account at any time.
Until in-app account deletion is available, email support@requle.com from the email address associated with your account and we will process the closure request within 30 days.
Closing your account cancels your Premium subscription in accordance with section 5.4.
We will delete or de-identify personal information as described in our Privacy Policy, subject to information that we are required or permitted to retain by law or that is reasonably necessary for legitimate purposes such as fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution or accounting.
11.2
If you close your account, the 12-month retention period described in sections 4.3 and 5.9 does not require us to retain personal information that is otherwise scheduled for deletion under our Privacy Policy.
11.3 Suspension or termination by us
We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly breach these Terms, misuse the Service, attempt to compromise its security, engage in unlawful conduct, or if we are required to do so by law.
Where reasonable, we will warn you and give you an opportunity to fix the problem before taking action.
If we close a Premium account without a breach by you, we will refund any unused prepaid subscription period, subject to applicable law.
11.4 Disputes
Please contact us first at support@requle.com if you have a complaint or dispute.
We will try to investigate and resolve the issue within 14 days where reasonably practicable.
You retain all rights to contact Consumer Affairs Victoria, another appropriate consumer protection agency or other relevant authority, or to pursue any legal rights available to you.
11.5 Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
Each party submits to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria, Australia.
11.6 Severability
If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that part will be read down or removed to the extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue to apply.
11.7 No waiver
If we do not enforce a right under these Terms immediately, that does not mean we have waived that right and we may enforce it later.
11.8 Assignment
You may not transfer your account or your rights under these Terms without our written consent.
We may transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms to a business that takes over or acquires the Service, provided this does not reduce your rights under applicable law.
11.9 Events outside our control
We are not responsible for delay, interruption or failure of the Service caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including major infrastructure failures, internet or telecommunications failures, cyber incidents, natural disasters, government action or failures of third-party service providers.
This does not limit any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
