1. About this policy and who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how Bharat Shori trading as ReQuLe (ABN 24 406 235 366) (“ReQuLe”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, discloses and protects personal information when you use the ReQuLe website and application at requle.com and related services.
ReQuLe is an online learning platform that helps users organise learning topics, practise through questions and track their learning progress.
We aim to handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) and other applicable privacy laws. The Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) contains exemptions that may apply to some small businesses, so our lawyer should confirm the precise legal basis on which the APPs apply to ReQuLe.
Nothing in this Privacy Policy is intended to exclude or limit rights you may have under applicable law.
2. Personal information we collect
We collect information reasonably necessary to operate ReQuLe, provide the services, maintain security, process subscriptions and support users.
Depending on how you use ReQuLe, this may include:
Account information
- Name
- Email address
- Authentication information associated with your ReQuLe account
- Information associated with Google Sign-In, where you choose that option
When you use Google Sign-In, ReQuLe receives your name and email address. ReQuLe does not receive your Google password.
Learning and account activity
This may include:
- Topics and skills in your learning library
- Quiz and learning progress
- Answers and results associated with quizzes
- Notes and other content you choose to save
- Subscription status and relevant account activity
- Usage information necessary to operate features and enforce service limits
Payment information
Payments are processed by Stripe.
Stripe handles payment and payment-card information on our behalf. ReQuLe does not store payment-card details in its application database.
We may receive or retain information necessary to identify your subscription and payment status, but payment-card information is handled by Stripe.
Technical and security information
We may collect technical information required to operate, secure and troubleshoot ReQuLe, such as:
- Browser and device information
- Application and server logs
- Error and diagnostic information
- Security and abuse-prevention information
- Information about interactions with the service
We do not intentionally request sensitive information such as health information, political opinions, religious beliefs or similar sensitive information. Please do not include sensitive information in your notes, support requests or error reports unless it is necessary and specifically requested.
3. How we collect personal information
We may collect personal information:
- Directly from you when you create an account or use ReQuLe
- When you use Google Sign-In
- When you subscribe to or manage a ReQuLe subscription
- When you create notes, select topics or use learning features
- When you contact us for support
- Automatically through application operation, security logging and diagnostics
- Through analytics technologies where you have provided the required consent
We do not purchase personal information about you from data brokers.
4. How we use personal information
We may use personal information to:
- Create and manage your ReQuLe account
- Provide learning and subscription services
- Maintain your learning library, notes and progress
- Process and manage subscriptions and payments
- Send account, service and security communications
- Respond to support requests
- Monitor and improve service reliability and performance
- Detect, investigate and prevent fraud, abuse and security incidents
- Enforce our Terms of Use
- Understand service usage and improve ReQuLe
- Meet legal, regulatory, accounting and record-keeping requirements
- Send marketing communications where permitted and where you have provided the required consent
We do not sell your personal information.
5. AI-generated content and automated processes
AI-generated learning content
ReQuLe uses artificial intelligence to assist with generating learning content, including topics, questions and related educational material.
ReQuLe does not provide users with an open-ended AI prompt facility. Users select or search for existing skills and topics within ReQuLe.
For AI content generation, ReQuLe may send topic or category names to our AI service provider, Groq.
We do not send the following to Groq as part of this content-generation process:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your private notes
- Your quiz answers
- Your learning history
- Your error reports
- Other directly identifying personal information
We do not use your private notes, quiz answers or personal learning activity to generate content for other users.
AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions or inaccuracies. You should use your own judgement when relying on educational content provided by ReQuLe.
Automated processes
ReQuLe uses automated processes to operate the service, including:
- Applying account and subscription rules
- Applying daily usage limits
- Selecting or presenting learning content
- Detecting potential misuse or automated access
- Identifying technical or security issues
- Supporting account restrictions where misuse or security risks are detected
Where an automated process may result in a significant restriction of your access to ReQuLe, we may provide an opportunity for human review where appropriate.
From 10 December 2026, Australian Privacy Principle requirements concerning certain automated decisions will apply to APP entities where the relevant statutory conditions are met. ReQuLe will maintain this section and its practices so that they reflect applicable legal requirements.
6. Cookies and analytics
ReQuLe may use cookies and similar technologies necessary to operate the website and application.
We also use Google Analytics to understand how users interact with ReQuLe and to improve the service.
Google Analytics does not run before the user has provided the required consent through our consent mechanism.
You can manage applicable cookie and analytics preferences through the controls made available by ReQuLe.
7. Who we share personal information with
We use selected third-party service providers to operate ReQuLe.
These providers may process information on our behalf for authorised purposes. We take reasonable steps to ensure that providers handling personal information do so subject to appropriate contractual, security and legal requirements.

Neon
Our production application database is hosted by Neon in Sydney, Australia.
Sentry
Sentry is used for technical error and diagnostic information.
We do not intentionally send user email addresses, account identifiers or other directly identifying personal information to Sentry.
Groq
As described above, ReQuLe sends topic/category information to Groq for AI-assisted content generation. We do not send personal account information, private notes, quiz answers or learning history to Groq for this purpose.
Overseas disclosure
Some of our service providers may process information outside Australia, including in the United States and other countries or regions where those providers operate their services.
Where personal information is disclosed overseas, we take reasonable steps to address applicable privacy and contractual requirements.
The countries or locations used by individual providers may change over time as their infrastructure and services change.
8. Emails we send
We may send emails necessary to operate ReQuLe, including:
- Account verification and authentication emails
- Subscription and billing notifications
- Trial reminders
- Security notifications
- Important service announcements
- Responses to support requests
- Other transactional communications
Transactional and service emails may be sent using Resend.
Where we send marketing communications, we will comply with applicable Australian requirements, including the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).
You can unsubscribe from marketing communications where an unsubscribe option is provided. You cannot generally opt out of essential service or security communications while maintaining an account.
9. Storage, security and retention
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, interference, modification or disclosure.
These measures may include access controls, authentication controls, encryption, secure hosting, monitoring, logging and appropriate restrictions on access to production systems.
No internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.
How long we retain information
If your free trial or Premium subscription ends, we generally retain your account, learning library, notes and learning progress for 12 months so that you can return to ReQuLe and continue your learning.
If you explicitly request account deletion, we aim to delete or de-identify your personal information within 30 days, subject to information that we are required or reasonably entitled to retain for legal, security, accounting, dispute-resolution or other legitimate purposes.
Some information may therefore remain for longer where retention is required by law or reasonably necessary for legitimate purposes.
Backups
Personal information may exist temporarily in system backups.
Backups are deleted or overwritten in accordance with the applicable backup-retention cycle.
Error reports
Technical error reports may be retained for service reliability, troubleshooting and security purposes.
Where reasonably practicable, information linking an error report directly to an individual account will be removed or de-identified when an account is deleted.
Support communications
We may retain support correspondence for as long as reasonably necessary to manage the request, resolve disputes, maintain appropriate business records and improve our support processes.
10. Your choices and privacy requests
Depending on applicable law, you may request access to personal information we hold about you and request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
You may also request deletion of your ReQuLe account, subject to legal and legitimate retention requirements.
Where available, you may export information directly through ReQuLe. You may also contact us to request a copy of your notes and, where reasonably available, other information associated with your account.
We may need to verify your identity before processing an access, correction or deletion request.
We will generally respond to privacy requests within a reasonable period and in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
11. Other important information
Account security
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials and access methods secure.
If you believe your account has been accessed without authorisation, contact us as soon as possible.
Children
ReQuLe is intended for users aged 18 years or older.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18 for the purpose of providing an account.
If you believe a person under 18 has created an account, please contact us.
International users
ReQuLe is operated from Australia.
If you access ReQuLe from outside Australia, privacy laws in your country or region may also apply to your use of the service.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to ReQuLe, our information-handling practices, service providers or applicable laws.
Where changes are material, we will provide appropriate notice where required.
The latest version will be published on the ReQuLe website.
Complaints
If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first so that we can investigate and attempt to resolve the matter.
We aim to acknowledge privacy complaints within 7 days and, where reasonably practicable, resolve them within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may have the right to make a complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
